If it is seen its remembered if it is not its forgotten! So what do we need to remember and at what depth and purpose? What’s the point of creating what we do? It is important that we capture the expertise in design and engineering. This includes aviation science and production techniques. How they made these wonderful planes and system is as important today as it was then. What could be achieved if the designers then where with us today? But they are, there very thought processes an embodiment within the design. This is why its so important to Research by Re-constructing. By doing this we encapsulate the very design approaches which led to the production of these fine craft. This will offer a model of the design methodology then and their thought process’s.
Why freeze history? Why not explore it, test the strengths and weakness’s of the designs, the windows of optimal operation and relate this to contemporary design. This way we can use the simplicity and elegance of the past to relate to current aviation science, design and engineering.
Here the best from the past is use to demonstrate contemporary technology at every level. From a basic appreciation of what the fine work the RAF and other service do, to identifying candidate that would benefit from careers in this area, to the very complex mater of aviation science.
These skills and knowledge are not confined to aviation but science, engineering and mathematics, the corner stones of inventor ship.
So how do we get in contact, get the points across and transfer the skills and knowledge. 1) Competitions Want to see it all in action? Then click on Latest News 2) Shows and fairs Want to join in? Then click on Clubs. 3) Road shows Want to make good use of your aviation bits? 4) Courses Have information an documentation? 5) Clubs and Forums Have experience in acting? 6) Corporate Projects Have engineering experience? 4) Project Bloggs Then please press on ‘Making contact’. 5) Mail shots (see latest news)
